Justice Department Launches Criminal Probe Into Deaths During CIA Interrogations

The Justice Department is moving forward with criminal investigations relating to CIA interrogations of two detainees who died in the agency's custody. The decision, announced by Attorney General Eric Holder, is the result of a nearly two-year preliminary review into the Bush-era interrogations by prosecutor John Durham.
>Well, at least someone has been working

The investigation into CIA practices, first announced in August 2009, outraged some lawmakers concerned about the precedent the Obama administration could set by investigating the war-time actions of its predecessor.
>What an awesome excuse, huh. "Obama, please, don't investigate too much, you seem too tired. Please, relax."

Mexican state wants all-female tourist police force

Wanted: Women ages 18-26, who are at least 5-foot-5 and whose weight is proportional to that height. Must have good physical and mental health. Knowledge of English is a plus.
The job? A new, all-female tourist police force proposed for Guerrero's most popular visitor destinations, including Acapulco.
>Sexism, sexism everywhere! Fortunately, no fatties.

"We are designing a gorgeous uniform that can distinguish us like the police in London, for example, so that Acapulco can have an additional visual attraction to what we already have," Almonte said.
>Fuck what? Do you want policewomen or models?

The tourist police will not be armed, and their function will be mostly to deter crime and to act as a guide for visitors, Gatica said.
>That explains everything. They'll guide tourists to the brothel.

>Napoleon died a long time ago, why didn't they retreat back to France?

Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said in a statement that the French government had tried to get the journalists released "through the use of force... but their efforts proved futile and the enemy was forced to retreat suffering heavy casualties".
>Failed.
